HOW WE WORK

A structured approach, from experience

No two migrations are identical, but every successful migration follows the same discipline. Here's how Pebble IT approaches every engagement.

Assessment

We analyse your source database estate: schema complexity, code volume, data volumes, application dependencies and compliance considerations. We use tooling to produce an objective readiness report — not a sales pitch.

Planning

We design a migration strategy tailored to your environment, risk tolerance and timeline. We identify the right tooling combination, plan the cutover approach and define success criteria upfront.

Execution

Our engineers carry out schema conversion, code translation and data migration using Cortex, SQL Tran and Omni Loader as appropriate. We run validation tests at every stage.

Replicate

For a period of time we can replicate the from source to destination to allow the business to finalise and prepare for cutover. Test and Application remediation can occur here.

Cutover

We manage the cutover to your new platform, minimising downtime and de-risking rollback scenarios. Where zero-downtime is required, we use live data sync to keep source and target in step until the switch.

Run & Support

Migration is not the end. Pebble IT can continue as your managed database services provider on the new platform — monitoring, patching, performance tuning and supporting your team as they settle into the new environment.
